Frequently Asked Questions

What is this?

Rebuild Photography is a team of professional photographers with over a century of combined experience. We offer a variety of services to your business, including this website. Rebuildphoto.com is a site managed by our team that allows your company easy, secure access to your photos.

I have a question about this site. How do I ask you?

If your question isn’t answered on this page, you can email us a question.

I want to talk to someone on the phone.

You can call Denise Daughtry at (850) 435-0914.

What does this site allow me to do?

You can browse photos from the recovery process of each of the recent hurricanes, with more being added each week. If your company owns a license to a photo, you can add it to a custom collection, attach a note to it, or download a high-resolution version for use in your own company-related project.

How is this better than getting photos mailed to me?

There are a few advantages:

You put up an image I don’t want to be publicly viewable. Can I take it down?

If your company owns the image, you will see a “delete” link in a yellow bar below the image. You can click that link to remove it from the site.

How do I add my own notes to an image?

Notes are part of projects. If you click “Add to Project” under any of your photos, you will be able to attach a note that will display only to viewers using your company’s login. You can also change or delete notes.

What does the “Add to Project” link do?

You can collect photos owned by your company into a custom project, and add notes to each photo that are only viewable by your company. Those projects appear in a box on the lefthand side of the site (in the white sidebar), and you can display slideshows of any of those projects or use them for quick reference when making a document using some images.

Can other people view my company’s photos?

Yes, in a protected format. They do not have access to any version of the image over 400 pixels wide (this is too small for re-use) and even those small versions are imprinted with your company’s logo to prevent re-use. Only you have access to the high-quality, unscreened versions of your images which are suitable for use.

I want to direct my clients to a website that features only photos of my company’s work

We can certainly arrange that. Contact Denise Daughtry for more information.

How do I change my company’s password?

You can click the “edit user info” link to change your password, username, displayed name, email address, and company logo (used to screen protected images).

I only want to see photos of a particular type. How do I filter out other photos?

The “Filters” box in the sidebar allows you to see only images using the criteria you specify. You can add a filter to see images only with a particular tag, event, client, year, month, day, city, county, or state.

I am having trouble with the Map View.

Presently, some versions of Internet Explorer cannot handle advanced features of the map view. You can use Mozilla Firefox (recommended), Opera, or Internet Explorer 7 to utilize the map view.

What is my company’s username and password?

You can contact the webmaster to get your company’s username and password if no one in your company has this information.
